Our Sustainability Pledge: How we reduce impact on our environment

In the past, waste from the beauty industry was largely responsible for blocking waterways, destroying aquatic life, and polluting the air, but things have gotten much better over the years.

Currently. a laundry list of beauty brands are becoming more sustainable. And we take pride in being among those brands who put not just the health of our consumers but also the health of our environment into consideration. To show how passionate we are about reducing the impact on the planet, we utilize mostly eco-friendly items; from ingredients to packaging.

As a brand, we work hard to lessen the amount of waste ending up in a landfill, and that's why we advocate for turning trash to treasure. Below is a breakdown of packaging options that helps us achieve sustainability.

Biodegradable/ compostable packaging.

Our cardboard is chemical-free making it recyclable or compostable and, our stickers, "thank you" cards, and tissue papers are made using noissue.com making them completely compostable and are easily broken down by microorganisms without destroying the environment. We utilize potato-starch packing peanuts that are also biodegradable because they are easily dissolved in water.

Recyclable Packaging

The glass jars and plastic lids of the Lavender sleep mask and hydrating moisturizers are made of recyclable materials.

The cucumber cleanser bottle is made of Polyethylene terephthalate, a plastic material that is Recycle 1. Recycle 1 plastics are the easiest and quickest to recycle.

Reusable and Upcyclabe Packaging

Instead of stockpiling your empties and trashing them as waste to pollute our planet, you can give them a second chance at life by upcycling and reusing them.
An empty jar of the Lavender sleep mask and hydrating moisturizer can be transformed into a DIY storage jar for your buttons, spices, and dry herbs. An empty plastic bottle of the Cucumber
cleanser can be repurposed into a bottle for dishwasher liquid or a spray can.

Non-biodegradable Packaging

Although a wide range of our packaging are nature-friendly, we still use some non-biodegradable options.  For example, plastic bubble wraps are used to wrap each jar, while plastic film is used to seal the cleanser pump.

Notwithstanding, we're taking steps to switch some of our non-ethical items to sustainable options. Our stamps and address labels are not environmentally-friendly yet but we are working on transitioning to ethical options. Our stamps will utilize soy ink in the nearest future.

Less is More

As a conscious brand, we try to cut back on excess packaging; no extra boxes, no free sample sachets, no large packaging.
At the end of the day, the carbon footprint on the ecosystem is reduced while our customers buy healthy and safe products. The benefits of embracing a sustainable beauty lifestyle is worth the effort.
